A long time in between blogs

Well hello again everybody and welcome back to my little corner of the web world. As the title states it has been a while since we last spoke. I have two very good reasons however. Last week I was on vacation is Snowshoe WV. Skiing is absolutely one my favorite things in the world to do, so my wife, my brother, a couple of friends and I headed for the mountains. The week did not get off to a great start though. On monday I started getting sick. I don’t know if you know this or not but sick and snow just don’t mesh well. I decided that I was not that sick and on tuesday headed north. That’s when the next problem hit, a snow storm. Now don’t get me wrong lots of snow is great for skiing it’s just really bad for driving. So at 11:30 p.m. eastern time at the base of Snowshoe Mtn. our group of travelers decided to drive on despite the fact that we could no longer see the road. I can not think of many times in my life that I have been that nervous. After thirty minutes we had finally made it the five miles to the top and proceeded to check in. The rest of the week went much more smoothly. Except for the snow that never let up, the temperatures below zero, and continuing to get sicker as the week progressed everything went great. I did manage to ski a little bit and enjoyed it as always. After three days we arrived back home safely Friday night. Well, hopefully that was reason enough to not blog last week. For this week’s excuse you’ll just have to tune in tomorrow. Later dudes!

My First Blog

How is everybody out there in blogland doing? My name is Nick and I will be your host for this journey into the inner workings of my crazy mind. To be honest I am a little nervous about this whole blogging thing. It’s not that don’t have anything to write, it’s just that when I write I tend to get deep and personal. I’m just not sure I want anybody and everybody to have access to my incoherent thoughts and ramblings. But, what the heck maybe we can all become dumber together. So tune in if you dare as we stroll hand in hand through the crowded streets that I call my life. We will walk past Over the Top Worship Leader Road, and scamper down Alabama Football Nut Lane. Look there’s the World Series Bridge and you can cry with me as we watch the Cubs never get across it. Sooner or later we will find Bad Golfer Highway, Decent Poker Player Street, and of course the Paintball Interstate where I rule the road. All roads will eventually lead to the arms of my beautiful wife Brandi where I will give you my thoughts on the proper things to say to infuriate your spouse. I’m looking forward to the trip and hope to see you around the bend.
